This is the XTR3 Bed Rack for Retrax XR Covers — purpose-built to mount directly to the Retrax XR tonneau cover’s integrated T-slot rails (cover sold separately — this listing is the rack). If you run a Retrax XR on your 2019+ Ford Ranger and thought a bed rack meant giving up your tonneau, the XTR3 Retrax XR Build mounts directly to the cover’s own T-slot rails, so you keep your weather-sealed, locking bed and gain a full overland & utility rack on top with six uprights and extra load-bearing capacity — no drilling, no compromise.
Bolts directly to your Retrax XR cover’s T-slot rails using the included bedrail brackets, which mount directly to the cover’s rails without drilling any holes. It turns your Ford Ranger bed into a fully modular cargo platform: carry a rooftop tent, awning, recovery gear, fuel, and water on top, while keeping the bed underneath locked and weather-sealed. Works as a Ford Ranger ladder rack, a cargo rack for lumber and conduit, or a no-nonsense overland basecamp — built from solid T-slot aluminum, not flimsy sheet metal.
This is not a universal bracket forced to fit. The XTR3 Retrax XR Build ships pre-configured for the Retrax XR’s integrated T-slot rail system — the bedrail brackets connect your uprights straight to the cover, so the rack and the tonneau work as one. Already running a Retrax XR on your 2019+ Ford Ranger? This is your exact-fit rack.
The XTR3 is our six-upright bed rack, designed to provide extra load-bearing capacity compared to traditional four-upright systems. The center upright on each side rail gives you a solid middle point for spanning long items like lumber or conduit, and an extra anchor point for heavier gear. Its open design provides excellent side access, outstanding accessory compatibility, and a clean layout that’s equally at home on work trucks, overland builds, and daily drivers. It comes with 6 uprights (one in each corner + one center upright on each side rail), 2 side braces, 2 top crossbars, and 2 top support braces. Fewer moving parts, lighter weight, and a clean, traditional look that ages well under trail dust and jobsite grime.
Need more load-bearing capacity. It is the starting point for a modular truck system. Start with the bed rack, then add accessories as your needs change. Depending on your setup, the XTR3 can work with MOLLE panels, AXS Gates, slide-out storage, recovery gear mounts, lighting, water storage, and other rack-mounted accessories.
Because the rack is built around T-slot extrusion, you can continue adapting the layout instead of replacing the entire system as your build grows.
Rated capacity (evenly distributed): 500 lb dynamic off-road, 850 lb dynamic on-road, 1,750 lb static — or OEM bed rail capacity, whichever is less.
